Highest readings on new circuits 800/1300+ old circuits 140-300 any ideas why?
Just got the new meter and filters in today, checked around a few rooms, the new circuits have ground, the old do not. The ground setup is a #4 copper from the panel to the water line then two 8 foot rods in the ground as required by local code.
Most are in the low range but I found 3 high readings on the other side of the house, two 950's and a 1450 all close to each other between two rooms and a hallway. I suspect it maybe two hots in the same junction box and or a soldered mess of hots and neutrals. I've saw both situations before in this house. I'll have to check it out when I have time.
Oh, in one place the meter was doing something weird, when i plug it in it flashes 666 then a 1 on the far left then gives a reading, what does that mean?
