Pros:

Extremely efficient with electricity

Last a very long time before needing replacement

Cons:

All LED bulbs on the market produce some dirty electricity

Some LEDs are very bad with what they produce

Some LEDs flicker or blink (invisible to the eye, but affects the nervous sytsem)

Some LEDs put out very poor light - very unnatural and not balanced light

Mainly because of the dirty electricity, we are not recommending LED lights at this time.  We are recommending to stick with the energy-saving halogen light bulbs that have been replacing the old fashioned incandescent.  The energy-saving halogen bulbs operate the same way as an incandescent, but use about 30% less electricity.  They are a linear load, just like incandescents, meaning they do not pulse or use electricity in quick bites.  This is a very good thing.  It means they do not produce dirty electricity at all.

So those are our favorite, and what I personally use.
