Shielded power strip attached to power transformer (moving from US to EU)

I will be moving from the US to Europe (Italy). I am considering bringing some of my appliances and buy a few power transformers. Will the transformers add significant EMF? And can the shielded power strips and Stetzerizer filters still be used in the power transformer?

Thank you so much in advance!

Yes, the shielded power strip should still work with a voltage transformer.  It is always good to test with an electric field meter.  The transformer would also need to have an earth ground and pass that onto it's 120 volt outlet.

Transformers do generate EMF, and it is proportional to the amount of current (electricity) you are running through it.  You can position the transformer as far away from you as possible.  8 feet should be fine.  You can use one of our shielded extension cords to get you where you need the power to be :)
