Electric Fields on 7-Outlet Surge Suppressor Wall Adapter?

Hi,

I recently purchased the 6-Outlet Shielded Power Strip and have been very happy with it. I've tested the electric fields with the ME3851A and have been very impressed with its electric field reduction performance.

Does the 7-Outlet Surge Suppressor Wall Adapter show similar electric field shielding performance? Can you give any idea of what electric field readings it gives as compared to the Shielded Power Strip?

Thanks,

John

good question.  The 7-outlet surge is not shielded.  But it resides against the outlet it is plugged into.  So...seeing as how 99.9% of outlets and wall plates aren't shielded, it is not really making much of a difference.

the advantage is that the USB charging ports are grounded.  So when devices are plugged-in for charging, you can then see a drastic reduction in relative electric fields compared to any other charger on the market.  This one is best

Awesome Shaun, that sounds great! Thank you for the super fast response. :)

I have some quick follow-up questions:

1. If I want to have a grounded USB charge option for travel, can I do the following with the Premium USB grounding adapter and get the same grounded result for my device? (1) Plug ground adapter into outlet. (2) Plug separate USB outlet charger into other outlet. (3) Plug male USB end of USB grounding adapter into other USB outlet charger (4) Plug USB device cable into female end of USB grounding adapter (4) Plug this USB cable to device I want to charge while grounded.

2. What about plugging a USB cable into a laptop or computer that is already grounded. Does that provide a grounded charge to the device connected to it?

Thanks a lot,

John

Yes, you can definitely use our Premium USB Grounding Adapter to accomplish the same.  That would be smaller and slightly more portable than taking the 7-outlet adapter with, although the 7-outlet may come in handle when traveling as well.  Just depends on size I guess.

2.  Yes, a laptop that is already grounded will have all of its ports grounded as well.  So anything you plug into a USB port will be grounded :)
