I dont see the difference between the 2 wireless routers other than price, can you provide insight?

Routers typically work in most households with an internet connection. Here is a breakdown for you.
The R6 - AC1750 - Model: R6700v3 is our centerpiece router.
The R7 - AC1900 - Model: R7000 is our Wireless Access Point.
They both provide a low-emissions WI-FI network for the home. The reason we have 2 options is simply because some people are forced to use a 2-in-1 combo ( router + modem ) by their ISP in which the R6 Router will have conflict with and the R7 Access Point will plug and play. We Recommend using an aftermarket modem ie: Arris Surfboard 8200 - MODEM ONLY for Cable Internet Providers - to have an optimal setup with the R6.
The R7 by spec, has a bit more speed capability over WI-FI which in most circumstances are irrelevant in the residential home because it is contingent on your current data package from your Internet Service Provider.
Both Devices are Fantastic and offer 99.8% lowered emissions from the standard, retail, out-of-box router and or 2-in-1 modem/router combo that you rent every month.

Seth, thank you for your reply, it sounds like if I wish to continue to use their modem (with the wireless diabled) I should get the R6 and retire my Nighthawk. If that is correct, Ill be ordering it and shielded ethernet wires (and grounds) this weekend, thanks for letting me know, I will look for your further thoughts. Jeff
It is safest to buy your own modem that has no wireless capability. The issue with disabling the wireless on equipment owned by the cable company is that they could run an update/refresh on the system and boom - your WiFi is back on without you knowing! So it is much safer to buy a modem yourself, and then use one of our routers with it.
